A native of Songjiang, Shanghai, Hu Jun was widely read from a young age, at ease in both the humanities and sciences. He earned his undergraduate degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University before entering a philosophy postgraduate program at Fudan University, developing a deep, independent understanding of traditional Chinese culture. He began his guqin studies under Gao Yu (a disciple of Gong Yi), and later received careful guidance from two eminent masters: Dai Xiaolian of the Guangling school and Ding Chengyun of the Sichuan school. As President of the Australia Guqin Society, his playing is steady and deep yet never loses its lightness of touch. He plays exclusively on silk-string qin, with particular devotion to 《Xiaoxiang Shuiyun》, 《Li Sao》, 《You Lan》 and 《Guangling San》.
Mr. Long Sheng began his career as a performing artist with a professional song-and-dance troupe, contributing to the composition and performance of the musical 《Apartment 13》, which won an Outstanding Award at China's first National Opera Festival. He later served as keyboardist for the Shenzhen Southern Art Troupe on national tour, and in 1989 moved to Hainan to form the band "Sea Wolf". A chance encounter with the guqin in 2009 led him to study under Xu Junyue — master of the Zhejiang school, professor at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, and a National Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritor — inheriting the Xu lineage's "unhurried, understated" style. After settling in Australia, he founded and continues to lead the Melbourne branch of the Zhejiang Xu-school Guqin Society, teaching for over a decade to several hundred students.

With twenty years of guqin practice, Liu Ying trained early on under the Sichuan-school masters Hu Jizhang and Kou Wenxi, later becoming a student of Wei Shengbao, celebrated as a "master hand of the qin world." Her playing is spirited and unconfined by any single school, often drawing on deep emotion to shape a distinctly personal style. Her background in classical music education allows her to skillfully blend the ancient resonance of the qin with other Eastern and Western instruments.
A young guqin artist based in Australia, Song Keyue serves as Deputy Head of the Melbourne branch of the Zhejiang Xu-school Guqin Society, and is a member of the China Musical Instrument Association's Guqin Research Committee, the Zhejiang Musicians' Association, and the China Guqin Society. Since 2018 she has been dedicated to promoting guqin culture in Melbourne, performing and lecturing at numerous international cultural exchange events and concerts. She was invited to the 17th Panama World Chinese Spring Festival Gala and Art Expo in 2022, where she received the "Golden Art Award" from Panama's Ministry of Tourism. She has since organised dozens of bilingual (Chinese-English) public guqin lectures across China and Australia, and in 2023 was honoured as an "Outstanding Figure in Chinese Art and Model of Cultural Innovation and Inheritance."
The grandson of guqin master Wang Duo, Wang Pinyuan grew up at his grandfather's side, absorbing a love of antiquity and the qin, and diligently carrying forward the family tradition. He favours the silk-string guqin above all, and — following his grandfather's influence — is drawn to Daoist repertoire, seeking a state of stillness, naturalness, and quiet equanimity. He holds that "the qin is an instrument of the noble path," believing that mastery lies not only in fingering and tone but in the meaning and integrity a piece carries. He is now devoted to studying and passing on his family's guqin scholarship, the silk-string tradition, and classical repertoire.
First introduced to the guqin by the late Shanxi master Nan Linwang, Sun Rui later studied under Zhao Xiaoxia and Chen Can, both within the lineage of Li Xiangting.
